Weather for next week: warmer, up to 17°C and plenty of sun on Thursday

After a cold, wet weekend a warmer week is coming. Thursday looks best, with 12–17°C and lots of sunshine. Friday will be warmer still, but rain is possible.

The weekend was grey and wet, with 12–16°C on Saturday and 11–15°C on Sunday. The new week brings an improvement. On Monday temperatures will reach 15°C, but the night will be cold, 2–4°C in the mountain valleys. On Tuesday expect 9–14°C, around 6°C in the Podkarpacie region, with rain in the south and east.

Golden autumn later in the week

Wednesday brings 12–16°C, although valleys may see only 0–2°C in the morning. Thursday should be the nicest day: 12–17°C and "plenty of sunshine". Friday will be warmer still, but rain may fall across the country.

Take care in the mountains

On Sunday morning IMGW had no active weather warnings. The Tatra Mountains are another matter: trails are icy and the wind is strong. Radio Kraków warns that microspikes alone may not be enough.

How to prepare

Early in the week an umbrella will come in handy in the south and east, and mornings in the mountains and valleys will be close to freezing. Forecasts several days ahead can still change, so check the latest updates and warnings at meteo.imgw.pl.
