World Bank sees Poland's GDP growing 3.6% this year, then slowing
The World Bank raised its 2026 growth forecast for Poland from 3.1% to 3.6%. Growth is expected to ease in the following years.
Key facts
- The 2027 forecast rose from 2.6% to 2.9%, while the 2028 forecast fell from 2.9% to 2.7%.
- Growth in 2026 is supported by a faster-growing EU economy.
- Central Europe as a whole is expected to grow by about 2.5% a year in 2027–2028.
Why it slows
- EU recovery fund payments wind down and real wages grow more slowly, holding back consumer spending.
