Polish RPG Shadow of the Road delayed by 4 months to March 2027

Another Angle Games has moved Shadow of the Road from 12 November 2026 to 10 March 2027. The developers want to polish combat and balance.

Polish studio Another Angle Games has announced that Shadow of the Road will not launch on 12 November. The new release date is 10 March 2027, four months later. The developers shared the news on Steam, a month before the planned launch.

Why the delay

The developers wrote that they "need more time to prepare the game". They want to refine combat tactics and balance, and make party progression more engaging.

Samurai and steampunk

Shadow of the Road is an isometric RPG with turn-based combat, set in 19th-century Japan where feudalism meets steampunk. It is coming to PC via Steam, and over 25,000 people follow it there, according to SteamDB.

A demo without Polish

Players lead a party of heroes, and the developers now want to make its progression more engaging. The delay takes the game out of this autumn's release season and pushes it to spring.

A demo is already on Steam, but it has no Polish language option even though the studio is Polish. GRY-OnLine expects the full game won't have one either.
