Home sales in big cities up 48%. Record quarter for Dom Development

Developers are reporting their third-quarter results. In the largest urban areas, home sales after nine months are clearly higher than a year ago.

According to Otodom data cited by ilezametr.pl, about 13,000 homes were sold in Poland's seven largest urban areas in the third quarter of 2026. After nine months the total was about 37,000, up 48% year on year. The average price of new homes put on sale in the third quarter was PLN 15,869 per square metre.

Record for Dom Development

Dom Development sold 1,251 net units in the third quarter, including 569 in Warsaw. After nine months its sales reached 3,633 units, up 13% year on year, Bankier.pl reported. “We ended the third quarter of 2026 with record sales in our history of 1,251 units,” said CEO Mikołaj Konopka.

Archicom and Atal

Archicom said on Friday 9 October that it sold 679 units in the third quarter, compared with 619 a year earlier. It handed over 702 units to buyers. After nine months it had 1,999 contracts, compared with 1,781 a year before, ISBnews reported. Atal signed 996 contracts in the third quarter.

The role of loans

According to Bankier.pl, about 54% of Dom Development's third-quarter sales were financed with a loan. That is more than half of all transactions. Mortgage terms therefore matter for the market. More banks are switching new loans from the WIBOR benchmark to POLSTR.
