Vitality win ESL Pro League S24 in Katowice's Spodek; ZywOo claims a record 34th MVP
Team Vitality won the ESL Pro League S24 final in the Spodek arena in Katowice, beating MOUZ 3–0. ZywOo was the best player of the final and of the event.
The ESL Pro League S24 playoffs were held on 9–11 October in the Spodek arena in Katowice. In the best-of-five final Vitality beat MOUZ 3–0. The French side won Cache and Inferno comfortably, and the drama came on Dust2: MOUZ had three map points, but Vitality levelled and won in overtime.
ZywOo the best
Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut had a 1.65 rating in the final and a 64–33 kill-death record. With a 1.43 rating he was named MVP of the whole event. It is his 34th such award, the most in Counter-Strike history. "I'm the A player on Cache… I love this map too much," he said after the match, adding that "the curse is definitely broken".
Second title in a row
It is Vitality's second straight title, after StarSeries Fall. Aurora took third place by beating Spirit 2–0. At the next event, PGL Bucharest, Vitality will be without Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, who is staying with his family after the birth of his child. jL will replace him.
